Basil & Macadamia Nut Pesto

This recipe is dairy-free, gluten-free, and sugar-free.

Serves: 4 – 8+


  • ½ cup raw macadamia nuts
  • 100g basil leaves
  • ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1T pumpkin seeds
  • Juice of 1 lemon (freshly squeezed)
  • 1T sunflower seeds
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • ½ tsp Himalayan salt


  1. Put all of the ingredients for the pesto into your blender.
  2. Then, blend the mixture until smooth – it is as simple as that.

Enjoy your pesto with some crudites or some healthy seed crackers for a delicious snack or starter. The pesto can also be placed into a glass mason jar and stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
