Vitamin C is one of our Lifestyle Health Essentials, and part of our daily recommendations. It is an essential, antioxidant vitamin, that needs to be ingested on a regular basis. As a water-soluble vitamin, we don’t have a good storage system in our bodies for Vitamin C. This means that it needs to form part of our daily intake either through our diet (broccoli, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, dark green leafy vegetables, strawberries, red peppers, potatoes and sweet potatoes), or via high quality supplements.

Vitamin C comes in a number of different forms, the most common one being ascorbic acid. Ascorbic acid is, by its nature, acidic and can cause stomach upset when ingested in large doses. In this product Solgar have used both L-ascorbic acid and bufferred forms of Vitamin C (known as Ester-C) to ensure that these uncomfortable side effects are avoided. Directions
